Synonyms: Lampsilis luteola, Lampsilis radiata luteola, Lampsilis radiata siliquoidea

Distribution: This is one of the most widespread and common species in North America. Lampsilis siliquoidea is distributed throughout the Mississippi River drainage but except the Tennessee and Cumberland River basins. The range of this species extends from western New York to northern Minnesota and as far south as Arkansas. The western extent is thought go as far as the upper Arkansas and Missouri Rivers in eastern Colorado and Montana, respectively. Lampsilis siliquoidea is also widespread throughout the interior of Canada. Occurs in eastern Oklahoma in the Arkansas River system and in southeastern Oklahoma in the Red River system. Because of an overlapping distribution with L. hydiana, the distribution of L. siliquoidea in southeastern Oklahoma is difficult to determine and whether both species co-occur is debated.
